A PERFECT DAY IN PALM BEACH

Hidden away on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Palm Beach is the perfect blend of relaxed coastal charm and understated luxury. Whether you’re here for a peaceful getaway or a special celebration, a day in Palm Beach offers the best of both worlds— think iconic landmarks, natural beauty, local flavours, and a laid-back lifestyle that’s hard to leave behind.
7:00am – Sunrise Stroll
Start your morning the Palm Beach way – I myself prefer a sleep in, especially when on holiday – although I do recommend starting the day with a light walk along the golden stretch of Palm Beach as the sun rises along the horizon – of course with a coffee in hand first from Dunes Kiosk. The early hours are calm, the fresh ocean breeze and gentle lapping waves set a perfect tone for the day ahead.
8:00am – Breakfast Time
I’m not sure about you but my tummy is grumbling from the minute I wake up! Once the morning coffee starts to wear off it is straight to breakfast. Make your way to The Boathouse to enjoy the ‘Palmy Poacher’ or the delicious house blend muesli bowl. While you wait, browse through their homeware section full of seaside decor you can take home for a warming reminder of Palm Beach.
10:00am – Barrenjoey Lighthouse
Now that you’re belly is full and happy, take the scenic 30-minute hike up to Barrenjoey Lighthouse for stunning views over Palm Beach, Pittwater, and beyond. You might even spot dolphins or whales in the cooler months! After the climb, reward yourself with a refreshing dip in the ocean you’ve been admiring. The ultimate way to cool off.
11:00am – Time for a Well Deserved Massage
Take yourself down to The Palm Thai Massage and Spa for a 30 minute ultimate upper body massage to release the pre-holiday stress and tension from your neck, back and shoulders. There’s just something about kicking off your holiday with a massage, it sets the tone for total relaxation and a truly peaceful escape. Now it is time to go back to your beautiful holiday home, enjoy a warm shower, and get ready for an unforgettable lunch in style.
12:00pm – Lunch by the Water
Now that you are feeling rejuvenated, unwind with a long lunch at Dunes or Barrenjoey House. Both offering modern Australian cuisine with a coastal twist – think oysters, seafood pasta, and crisp local wines. It’s the perfect way to settle into the laid back pace of Palm Beach.
2:00pm – Explore and Unwind
If your not in a food coma from lunch, spend your afternoon exploring nearby boutiques, art galleries, or browsing the weekend markets (if you’re lucky to be here on the fourth Sunday of the month). Or simply relax! Palm Beach has several quiet spots perfect for reading, sunbathing, or taking a dip in the calm Pittwater side.
4:00pm – Time For Ice Cream and Sunsets
Take a walk along Snapperman Beach with an ice cream in hand. It’s the perfect time of day to soak up the golden light as the sun begins set along the horizon. Alternatively – and my personal preference – go take a nap! You’ve had a big day, go find a comfy chair at your holiday home in the sunshine and read a book while you doze off to the sound of waves rolling in around you.
6:00pm – Dinner By The Water
For something truly special – and since our bellies are probably still recovering from lunch – have a picnic and watch the sunset. Or even better, make the most of your holiday home and make a gourmet platter with all of your favourite cheese, meats, dips and olives from Palm Beach Wine Co (with a bottle of wine too of course).
9:00pm – Reminise The Day
As the perfect day comes to a close, take a bath and change into your favourite sleep wear. Open the windows to the sound of waves, and look up at the stars that cover our skies with a cup of tea in hand. Think about the highlights of today and start dreaming about what tomorrow promises.
